I will be there. And maybe this time I’ll remember to stay and watch you put the results on the website.
I can show you that any time if you want to hop on a zoom call or something.

I will be at this one, plenty of time to get the civic back together! More parts are ready to be ordered once my paycheck hits this Friday, sorry I couldn't make it out last event on such short notice

I plan to be there. This is my first time, so I’m unfamiliar with the assignment of work. Will I be assigned a task on the day of the event or will I know my task ahead of time?

Welcome Tommy and you will get a job assignment the day of the event. Hope you have as much fun as I did on my first event, if you need any help getting your bearings just ask anyone to point you in the direction of a core member and we will gladly help you...Jeff

You'll want to go in the southern entrance for the speedway off 11E. Do not go to the drag strip. There will be a SCCA sign at the entrance.
put 36.51322356071462, -82.26209828485415 into google maps for a visual.

Sorry I had to bail last minute guys, I worked all day yesterday to get the new suspension (ball joints, wheel bearings and some power stop brakes) along with new axles, aligned it with some string and test drove it last night but on the way to Bristol it started pulling hard to the left like a flat tire! So I pull over and hear some terrible grinding coming from the front, turns out the new axle outer joint was burning hot (hotter than the brakes) and very squeaky/popping. I guess that's what I get from a 37 dollar rockauto axle... Bought some white lithium grease at the truck stop and poked a hole in the boot and sprayed it all in, looks like there either wasn't enough grease to start I think. Limped it home on 11e going 30mph ha! I'll look and see if I can find an intact axle at the junkyard, or order a NAPA one I think, heard those are pretty good.. I remember the exact same thing happening with the driver axle a couple of years ago too! But that one was my fault, sliced a hole in the boot and all the grease flew out. I guess these axles can't handle being lowered and spinning at highway speeds with a small diameter tire... At least this one didn't explode like the last one
