Nashville 8/22 Event

Post by 1SloCelica »

List it in the Thrifty Nickle. I guess the ad would go under..."Pets"!

Count on at least 1 more! Are we gonna still meet that morning at the station close to Atomic Speedway?

At least it'll be warmer than the last Nashville event I went to!! Shorts and a sleeveless shirt I now know are not a great idea for 30-40* weather. I'll be sure to check it next time!

Does anyone know of a close place to stay in Nashville? I am looking for a low priced hotel that I hopefully do not have to worry about getting my tires stolen. And if someone could tell me were to register if it is open it would really appreciate it.
Thanks,

Mark, we have a hotle that we usually use that is not in a bad place at all, I can't remember the name of it....maybe best western?

Anyway, there will be a few people going so you could put one tire in each car. Someone would have to brek in to every car to get your wheels and tires.

Looks like registration for this event is not open yet. It should be available here soon. I would really like to go but looks like I will have to work.

Y'all have fun.

Mark,
You strap your tires together anyway, so just have someone (Curt) grab an end and carry 'em into the hotel room. Put 'em under the sink outta the way.

I was at the Speedway last weekend for an Evo 1 school. Stayed at the Comfort Inn in Lebanon (exit 225 or something). ~$70 with AAA discount. All this NashVegas talk is making me want to check it out. If there's space on someone's hotel floor, let me know 'cause if I do go, I need to travel cheap.

mark has a longer drive, but i don't understand why anyone coming from knoxville would need a hotel. its just a normal one day autocross and the time change gives us an extra hour on the way out there.

Oh yeah. Forgot about the time change.
We got a hotel last time to make sure we knew where the Speedway was and make sure that if either of us got a flat or something, we wouldn't be late for our $230 investment. It started at 7:15am, too.

Andy, you can stay with me and Curt. That would make the cost of a hotel cheap.

At this point, we may go over Sat after the 411 event and hang with a friend of our in murfreesboro....then just go up on sunday morning. It all depends on whether he is working or not. If he is, then I'm sure I'll just leave on Sunady morning.

When and where do you guys want to meet? I suggest the Shell station/ bait shop at the Hwy 321/95 exit off of I-40 that we have met at in the past. What time do you guys want to meet?
