The only reason the STS pax is based on a lighter car is because the lighter car keeps winning. In FSP, there has been only one Scirocco to win Nationals. The heavier cars in FSP keep winning.

PAX isn't based entirely on nationals but really all national level competition.

BTW, I think Brian Priebe used to run an STS 2.5RS. I don't have my rulebook handy but if he didn't win when he was driving that car, he was very close.

I'm not sure about Brian Priebe, but I believe that at that rained out event at the Atlanta fairgrounds last year, three 2.5s finished 1,2,3. Thou there was rain, hope springs eternal.
