Well after buying my Honda after not even a week ago it has developed and very bad smoking problem so this sucks. I was planning on rebuilding the engine but I was think of like 2 years from know. So I am try to see if I should take my looses and sell it for wat I can or rebuild it and drive it. Does anyone know of a good but resonable priced place to rebuild the engine. If I rebuild it I will go ahead and shave the head. I want the car to be STS legal just incase I make a autocross car in the future. So if any one know of somebody let me know or if anybody wants a 89 Honda Si with a oil smoking problem.
Part it out and sell it. Talk to Derek about the engine,he's in the market.
If your more optimistic, talk to Doug Allen. I asked him about a good place to get D16 Honda engines and he mentioned a place called Evans which is a Honda part smorgasboard specializing in engine swaps.
Good luck on keeping a 15 year old engine in good shape....ever thought of buying a Subaru?
I wanted a 2.5 RS before I bought the civic but the cheapest one I can find with decent miles is $9000+. I can't afford that. But if I sell the Honda I might consider one foe the right money.
I think if I am going to fix it that will be what I will do. I think I would like it for a local autocrosser but that takes any chance of the car being fast nationally away. I think that would make it fun for the street and that is the main reason I bought it.
I think with the engine swap, it would be legal as long as there wasn't a lot of fabrication you had to do to make it fit. As long as a "ZC" is a Honda engine.

If I keep the car I will rebuild the engine. I have at least made that decision. I am getting the miata fever again. I miss not driving a miata everyday.
