There is a pretty good chance I'd be in this category.scottgib wrote:I'd be interested to know just how many drivers we would loose if we ran on Saturdays.

I would be one that would be lost but if this is what the club needs for pavement and more people to attend then it needs to be considered. I do hope there are a few events on Sunday but I understand alot of people would rather autocross on Saturday. That looks like a nice lot. And since I don't car to drive for good pavement I am sure I can find a autocross on Sunday when I can't make a Saturday autocross.

Count me in for Monday autocrosses ... sounds like a great alternative to work.TonyBolton wrote:Saturday or Sunday......doesnt matter to me. Hell, make'm on Fridays or Mondays even.
Seriously though, with a few exceptions, Saturdays and Sundays are pretty much equally good for me.

Hey Dave,The lot in the picture is the new Ingles on Oak Ridge Hwy.I am a member of Grace Baptist and that parking lot is quite smooth if i remember.Another parking lot is going in now and could make plenty of grid area.As far as closing the road I think that would be a longshot.Grace tried to close this area of the road a long time ago but the county would not let it happen. This church is very busy with many events always going on but could be possible.I could see who Scott or whomever needs to talk with if you guys would like?

Adam, get us a name. You might just inquire casually if the lot was available and then we could come in with the full SCCA presentation. Issues are usually insurance, property protection(ie vandalism or trash) and lot appearances(ie how many black marks do we leave).
