FS: 1990 Mazda Miata

Post by disneyd »

Chassis has about 163k miles

It has the entire drivetrain (1.8 engine, transmission, and torsen diff) out of a '95 M edition with about 70k miles (about 2 or 3 months ago). Runs like a top, idles perfectly, and is very strong.

I put a new water pump, timing belt, alternator, plugs, redline fluids, and belts on when I installed the 1.8 setup.

Top is in excellent condition (has been replaced in the past) and has a new rain rail gasket and clear rear window.

15X7 Wolf Race Wheels

Paint (Red) is decent, has a few scratches here and there. Absolutely no rust anywhere, period.

Adjustable KYB AGX shocks with Tokico springs. Eibach front and rear sway bars.

Flying Miata Strut tower brace. Also has rear chassis brace.

New cat-back exhaust.

RX-7 airflow meter.

Custom cold air intake.

A/C is super cold.

Cruise Control

Hawk HPS brake pads.

Interior is in good shape.

Everything on the car works great.

Pics to follow as soon as the weather dries up enough for me to give 'er a bath.

$3500 or best offer, 865-556-0568

I also have a '99 Miata that will be receiving a new engine and a Flying' Miata turbo in the very near future (insert evil laugh here).

Oh, I didn't realise you had another Miata.

Man if I had the money I would buy that car again. With the new drivetrain that car is worth every penny. Did you buy Jared's Miata Dave?

What kind of power does the 1.8 produce? Do you know what the car weights? Does the car leak?

What else comes with the car? Are you going to drive it to the board meeting?

Please send me some pics.

Mark, yes I bought Jared's car. It runs, but has the #4 thrust bearing problem (I just confirmed that the crankshaft endplay is way out of spec), so I've got to do an engine swap before I can do much with it.

Robert, these are published specs, but I think they're pretty close. The '95 engine is rated at 128 hp and 110 ft/lbs. Curb weight is listed at 2100 pounds. Nothing leaks, neither the top nor the engine. I'll have it at the meeting.
