Odyssey battaries

I saw that they have there own line of chargers. Do you have to use one or will any charger do. thanks Chad

I just use a standard 2 amp charger on mine.

Since we don't have a charging system on the racecars I use the Odyssey special chargers on the batteries in those cars. I figured it was worth the expense since the cars could go on charge a dozen time over the period of a weekend. The problem with normal chargers (as they explained to me) was that they are designed not to over charge batteries so they only charge to only about 90% but the Gel batteries last longer when kept on a full charge so the Odyssey charges will charge all the way up to 100%

Wait. You're supposed to charge them? I never have and she cranks every time. Should I be charging it?

The battery place I got mine from recomended I use the Battery Tender, charger. I have had zero battery problems since then... untill I post this reply, I'm now doomed.

I rotate the battery tenders around the garage on the various cars, bikes, etc all year long.. DOH! just remembered I never stuck it on the lawn mower. Its been covered in bike parts.

Battery Tender takes care of the Odyssey in the Lotus. The old battery needed it constantly. The new one not as much.
