Oh, and I have this burning desire to weave in and out of construction barrels/cones everytime I see them. It has gotten the best of me on multiple occasions!

I think more than anything, it has taught me to take driving a vehicle on a public road seriously and to avoid uneducated drivers.....which, of course, is everyone else on the road.

Also, learning that you can hit the brakes HARD if you need to and stop the car to avoid stuff

Reaction to unexpected road hazards such as an animal running into the road, or an idiot pulling in out in front of me, etc.. are much more "automatic" and do not induce panic. I have confidence that I know exactly what the car will do in nearly every traffic situation. I have found that in general, I have slowed down on the street. I pretty much drive like the old man that I am quickly becoming. However, I have discovered that I can negotiate the 2 traffic circles on McPhee road at 50+ mph with no drama (when there is no other traffic on the road, of course).
