Any thoughts on making pelli courses ones where cars won't be routinely banging up on the rev limiter?

I think, *probably*, that reducing course speeds in an effort to keep "louder" cars at lower db levels is probably a losing battle - since that still involves "loud" cars. (relatively loud)

I say that as someone who knows I have to catch them "screaming" past to bust them at 96 or 97.5 db.

I think we're probably better served in the pursuit of "quieter" cars.

How many cars are consistently banging the limiter at Pelli?

Many of the Miatae, especially MSMs (49 mph in 2nd, I am told).

Generally speaking - not always, but not at all uncommon at pelli.

I run out at 56 or 57'ish and usually get it up or down the hill and sometimes a bap or 2 somewhere.

...but I still think only a handful of cars.

...and if we slow down the run up or down the hill, I'm staying home.

I'm not even sure how it could be slowed down. Offset between the islands... :P

Seriously though, I don't think that's a legitimate option for several reasons.

We could rent a fire truck and hose down the course. I didn't get limiter today. :?

I never got past half throttle. It was sad. And slick.

Ok...was taking to the guy that runs the NCCC region events. They aren't even running their last event there now add he's said there's no way they can get the cats that quiet, and the neighbors will still complain anyway.
They are looking for options for next year.
