Re: Nashville Sunday
I think that was probably my favorite course I've run there. Just the right mix of technical and fast. Those that considered going, but didnt, really missed out.

Yep, that was a ton of fun! Lots of 'almost flat out' sections, very challenging/rewarding. I like Miatae alot now (sept for the brake-locking thing, thats annoying).
p.s.: anyone who prays, please do so for my good friend Lucas Coleman who has come out and run with us before - he lost his father to cancer tonight.

Great weather and great time. I drove like ass in the afternoon session...capping it off with my off-road excursion. As I walked the course I was thinking too tight, but it turned out really fun and fast.

Your kart looked awesome coming out of the the first turnaround. Makes me want one...
Cathers impressed me in the Miata, though it is definitely a good thing Marcus is on streets. I always have a hard time with braking on that surface, though.
Kristo and Aaron were bought really fast and consistent all doy long. It seems that between Aaron and I, one of us is generally fast out of the box and the other isn't. Luckily I got 7 runs, because I needed them to get a time.
Didn't really get to watch/follow anyone else....

Re: Nashville Sunday
For a day that looked like it was going to end badly for me about half a dozen times before I even got to the site, that was a lot of fun, lol.
I sucked in the morning, but ended up posting a couple of at-least-respectable times in the afternoon (all things considered). I agree the course was fun. This was my first time running with the TR folks, so a few of those course elements were new to me (mainly the turn-around cone).
Nice way to enjoy some mostly-pleasant weather.

I'm not a braggart, but ihave to say that I am very very pleased with the wrx. It rotates as well as my stx car did...sometimes even better....and has bigger balls. If anyone wants to foot the tire bill next year, I will be looking for a codriver. Keep in mind these will be 295 hoo hoos before you volunteer

Re: Nashville Sunday
I just wanted to make sure that it actually happened.
I really don't know. I struggled all day and my fast run felt pretty terrible, honestly. Aaron looked smooth and fast all day and I'd get in the car and elbows would be flying, I'd let go of the wheel and catch it when it centered, I'd find both hands at 3 o'clock on the wheel, brake lock up everywhere, etc, etc, etc.
Maybe that is the secret....

Re: Nashville Sunday
Really enjoyed yesterday and big ETR turnout made it better still.
Aaron, can you put Steve's and your videos up? I'd like to see if you guys did any elements differently.
And Brian is not " Mr.3rd" anymore, he is " Mr. Old Tires"

Re: Nashville Sunday
I had a lot of fun, the weather was a lot better than it has been. ETR had a good turn-out and I think the TR peopple appreciated it. I apparently suck at any technical sections of a course. I ate a lot of cones yesterday, lol.
I finally laid done a clean run at the end of the day and finished better than I thought I was going to. Cathers always reminds me of how slow I'm going though.
I'm itching for new parts! Just thinking what my car could of done with not-stock shocks/springs, and working rear brakes!
And yes, pray for Lucas please. I wish he could of been at Nashville with us in his e30, instead of at the hospital.

It's pretty bad when you get 4th in raw time and 35th in PAX.
I feel pretty good being within 1 second of Dan Cole.

Re: Nashville Sunday
Hopefully Aaron will post up my best run, but I was wider on the entrance to the crossover and I set up wider after the pin cone, or at least that is how it felt.
Otherwise, I think I suck at slaloms.
