Looks like 86 entries 6 runs average course times 40 to 43 seconds fast time around 38 seconds.

The level of "butt hurt' in this thread is astounding. Do you all really think the club wanted the even to be ran this way? Clearly they didn't. They are trying to get Milton Frank back and the city is watching them like a hawk. It's one of the best sites left in the South East and I am tickled they are working to get it back.

As for the course....everyone that went was pleasantly surprised at how well the course flowed and drove.

I had no intentions of going at any point and totally understand what those folks were trying to do, but it is hard to read those comments before the event and want to make a 7 hour round trip.

Bottom line is yeah we understand they are trying to keep the site, but if I owned the site and they put on a pretend event that was what all the rest of the events were to be like and then all this tire squeeeeeeling and black marks started to appear I would kick them off the site. Run the event as normal and don't piss off the owners by sugar coating the event with a toned down course that doesn't allow cars with loads of power to be able to put down the power. I total understand getting and keeping good sites but if the event isn't run as usual that concearns me as a fellow auto crosser. I don't think etr would ever put on a fake event in hopes of getting a site and then in turn do something different at the other events. I drive to many out of town events, but I will not drive to a event if the region putting it on puts out things like this region did. Expecting some one to drive hours away to have a sub-optimal course isn't what I will do.

I could be wrong... but the added out of town folk were not planned upon and not really in the plans anyway...
I took some of the response as "were ok if all you drivers don't show up" Im fine wit datt!

Yeah, there's no butt hurt here. But like Rife said...7 hours worth of driving to run a course that is self-proclaimed as sub optimal is not something most people will do. Especially if it's with regard to overall flow and speed. A course that does not flow is absolutely horrid in most cars. Glad it wasn't as bad as it sounded, although I would probably have expected 60 seconds at MFS and been disappointed for going anyway.
