I'm like JB and I like the rally style scoring as I was all out on every run and over drove the car once on day 1 and being a dumba$$ and left traction control on for 2 of my runs and that killed my chances of catching RC and Mark. That is what wins being fast and clean on every run.

Rally scoring is fun, but I wouldn't want to do it every event I coned away the win this weekend But once I learn the dimensions of the Z at speed I'll be good to go.

Fun courses both days. I'm a little disappointed with myself after Saturday since I fell for every dummy trap on the course while getting 3 of 4 DNFs so I knew that Sunday I didn't have a chance in hell of not finishing last. Sunday was less of a screw up and actually had a couple good runs. All in all it was a great weekend spending time with my son and having fun racing. Even though I totally screwed up Saturday, I thought it was a real fun course I just didn't capitalize on it.

Well, I guess Iv got some explaining to do. You folks got to see something that hasnt happened in prolly over a decade.. me DNF'ing.. and not from just going to fast to make a turn... a BONIFIED "Im Fn-LOST" DNF!! not once.... but twice in the same location...
I picked up the cone on the finish turn instead of the double kink cones.. and killed ANY chances of a good finish. JY did a good job on the courses! And, I give him a hard time err chance I get! But, it walked bad and the visuals were not the best..but it was fair.. (weneedmoresaloms!)
The run going out Sunday was one of the most fun sections of AX Iv ever ran.. no lie. My car was dancing all over and seemed to NEVER be in a straight line...
Good Event!

Re: Bristol SEDIV.
In the Mustang there were elements that looked like slaloms that weren't quite flat out, or at least not for me. But then I should have been about three seconds faster than my best run, which wasn't in the first four.John Brown wrote:you didnt... there were none.... not nary a one...
Oh, and if JB could get lost, it's probably just as well that I wasn't there on Saturday.

Re: Bristol SEDIV.
The results show about 36 DNF's on Day 1 and 23 on Day 2...It shows those 2 DNF's by JB happening on day 2? Is that correct? Had a great time this weekend. I won't say much about Day 1 but Day 2 made the weekend for me all clean runs and really could see the course well. I struggled with the course on Saturday over driving the sweeper closest to the start taking out 3 cones. While on day 2 that same sweeper at times was still had the car pushing but got through clean. I thought the start was great after making the turn down and then coming down off the back sweeper that section was a blast. Thanks to all the core people who made this a great event and to all those who came out and participated. Registration for August 28th at Pelli is open http://msreg.com/ETR082016
