$10 to whoever can tell me what this is. It looks like, and is about the same size as a lug nut but it's round and there are no threads. It's on a rusty metal art animal so it should be something cheap.

Some kind of gas fitting?
Edit: Do you know what it is and are testing us or are you really trying to figure out what it is?

Really trying to figure it out. I can't find anything like it. I've given up.

Who knows, it could be some internal piece of something bigger.

Is it something automotive related? It kinda looks like the top of a lamp where the lamp shade mounts.

May not be auto related. It's a heavy little piece. Slightly larger than a lug nut. Looks like a rod end cone washer on top of a shoulder bushing but it's all one piece. I've been using lug nuts but they are a little too small and expensive.

Looks like some sort of NASA surplus, anyone can pickup at the surplus store. We had one years ago when fighter jets were being built in Columbus. That thing must have cost $67926.79 when new and sold for a quarter.

may be way off base, but it looks like the connector that my clinics ultrasonic dental cleaner uses to connect to the water supply. Found a similar one on ebay
