WTB cheap reliable car for Mother in Law!

I thought I was a car guy, but my 83 y o Mother-in-Law got a turbo before I ever did. (Chevy Cruze) Now she wants to give it to my son. His daily driver ('95 525 it in Alpinweiss) is becoming a garage queen. So MinLaw wants to give Cruze to him and get something inexpensive to go to Post Office in, etc.
Probably needs to be an automatic, but it would be entertaining to put her in a manual. Gotta have A/C. Don't want a project. Anybody got something like that? Thanks
