Looking for a ride for Summer Nats

I learned today that the shop working on my motor killed it. Dead. Looking for a replacement motor now but there's very little chance of having a working Corvette by Thursday. I have fresh Falkens for a C5 or C6 Corvette if anyone is thinking about signing up and wants a codriver.

Second option is someone with a truck that is willing to tow my kart trailer to BMS on Wednesday. I'm only 20 min from the site.

Thanks.

How on earth did that happen? Were they just doing the valve springs?

Local shop?

Someone I know has problems with excessive intake valve guide wear on his LS7 (I think) motor, but that would potentially just kill the heads, not the whole motor.

Did the cam and springs but one retainer didn't hold. Valve dropped, piston went sideways and cracked both the head and the block. Eff me very much.

Thanks for all the offers. Everything is taken take of. Thanks to Alex Piehl for offering his car yesterday and for Summer Nats. CTR is a serious beast.

Glad to hear, Scott. I'm on a FB messenger thread with a bunch of the PGH guys and they were talking about ya, so I figured one of them might offer something up.

Still sucks about the car.

Tell me it wasn’t lethal. I could have warned you if it was. Stay away from that place
