Anyways looks forward to meeting everyone Sunday.
These guys are great for working with Novices. I'm just coming out of Novice in a black CP Mustang that I'm still trying to hang onto. 🤣 And yes, Smokies is a good place to get started.

See ya there!!

Welcome! I'll be there in a red white and blue Corvette. You will know it when you see it. Feel free to ask me if you need any help.
Thanks, appreciate it!

 Smokies is a good venue for a first timer because it's not huge. Welcome! I'm also willing to help if you need anything. I'll be in the silver subaru with gold wheels.
Thanks, I've been wanting to do this for years, 2014ish, but something always came up. Probably a lil anxiety cause i didn't know anymore as well. There's another guy I know from the vw community, Mack that will be there in his golf R. Which is the main reason I decided to go this time!

I look forward to meeting new people, and getting comfortable with the autox format... I've watched a ton of youtube videos, and I have a feeling the cones are going to confuse me the first few times LOL.

I was wondering why a novice was whooping my ass so bad in STU. I take it he's not?

I mean he hadn’t autox since early 2000 so I dunno when you are considered revirginized for novice! 🤣🤣🤣

Mack was pretty hardcore for a little while in the early 2000s.

I took a nearly forty year break before I started autocrossing again in 2011. I didn't consider myself a novice.

I'm just seeing this! I was a little embarrassed and I did give up my "trophy" to the 5th place Novice finisher! :) I ran PRO the next event as penance, if that's any consolation, and got my butt kicked....I'll remain there!! :)

It's all good! Since we already have someone that has the nickname Novice Pro (whole other story), we can just call you Pro Novice.

Good to see you back out there!
