Car trailer for Solo Nationals

Hi all,
I'm trying to work out some logistics for Nationals this fall and one option is to ask if anyone has a car trailer they won't be using that I can borrow to tow my car out to Lincoln. I'll be using my diesel Excursion for the job. The other option is to rent a U-Haul or similar trailer for $500/week (but those use surge brakes that I'd like to avoid, if possible).
