Oct 9 event

Post by jcox07 »

Our last event is Oct 9 and we also have the Saturday but nothing planned for it, I posted on FB and asked what would you all like to do for that Saturday and if you are not on FB please post up what you would like to see ETR do on that date. Thanks JY

My real answer is a two day event. Not the 24 hr thing...maybe in the future.

But let's make a festival out of it. TRSCCA used to do "Oktoberfast" 2 day and it was really fun. Let's make it a special event with giveaways, german food on the grill, etc.

Maybe a test and tune type event, not necessarily the test and tune course but sort of a last hoorah, where we can get in some last fun runs for the year? I wasn't able to attend the last test and tune unfortunately, and I know I would like to get some more seat time for Ariel, help get her closer to my time. I wouldn't even say no to the test and tune course! Or maybe a duel cross, even if unofficial

Based on the feedback here and my own thoughts, here's what I think our options are.
  • Test and Tune Saturday - autocross Sunday
Two day event, like a national tour
Two day event, like a match tour
One day event on Saturday, fun event on Sunday
Anyone else have thoughts?

I'd love to do a Match Tour type of event.

What if we do a match tour event style with only your best time from Saturday and it Sunday counts so anyone that can't make both days can still win class in Sunday and only give 4 runs on Saturday morning and 4 runs Saturday evening and 4 runs on Sunday morning and take the top 25 or whatever and run a duel cross for those or a challenge and maybe give away something special.

Best feel out how much participation a two day event is going to get. I know I'll probably pass on that, I expect a large number from here in town will do the same.

It is a 2 day event but you still can win your class just running on Sunday if we do a match tour style event.....

I want to do the Charlotte Tour the next week, so I definitely don't want to tie up 2 days. May or may not do 1 day depending on weather/format/motivation.

I just found out that I have a wedding to attend on the 8th, so, I might be out for the 8th. However I would still like to attend for the 9th, I have to find out more details, if I can run the morning of the 8th as well that would be awesome, I can come dressed for the wedding already to save some time
