So with the new track coming (eventually) has there been any pricing confirmed yet on membership?

Pricing is confirmed...you have to fill out a form on the website...respond to an email setting up an appointment for a phone discussion...after which you must sign a nondisclosure agreement before they will give you the numbers...

During the phone call I was told their intentions are to build an exclusive country club using a race track instead of a golf course.

Questions concerning any type of public usage (HPDE events, open track days, etc.) Were met with respectful declination. The man indicated those type events might be considered in a few years. I got the feeling my only views of the track would come through satellite photos, but he was respectful during the call.

If you go through with the NDA they will mail you a brochure with pricing. They have two membership levels. Each has an initial buy in with yearly membership dues. Make sure to sit down and steady your breathing before you open the envelope!

And yet there are already scheduled events starting in June...

I don't think they will get enough members to pay for the facility to grow without renting out the track to other outside events other than their members. The June nasa event has been moved to October.

Chin Track Days already has Flatrock as a "Coming Soon" on some of their FB posts. I definitely don't think it will be a cheap track day, but you will have the chance to drive it at some point. When that that will be largely depends on progress of the facility construction.

I am going to go out on the limb and say for the chin track days or for nasa it will be 1000.00 dollars per entry.

Yeah, but wheel time per dollar is still quite good.

TTNats at NCM is about half that for what ends up being 4 days of racing.

I am paying $625 for Barber and $695 for VIR this year. Both are two day events.

Yeah I think ViR was $695, two days, a total of SEVEN hours of track time if you wanted it all. In reality that is a lot and really more than your brain can safely handle in most cases. TTNats is great too but its not close to that....mostly because of the track sprint sessions. (Not sure how I feel about those.)

$1k sounds pricey on the surface, but that much track time, and more importantly being a very short tow (or not having to tow) or rent a room will make it pretty economical for us locals.

Bingo, Chris. No hotel room helps a bunch. Let's cross our fingers that they price it realistically.
