David no longer has his Locost -- reason?
It was fast as heck, but not really competitive in EM. I think that would take a lot of money and a lot of tinkering.
Do you have the time for a Locost? If so, you would learn a lot, but the odds are against you being competitive.
What are your objectives?

C5 Vette, some Koni's, some tires...........and have fun goin' fast. Not to mention, have a pretty cool car to pimp around in on the weekend if you chose to not daily drive it.
If you don't wanna pay for big tires........you could always get an S2000. I think with your level of driving, you could be quite threatening in that car.

<----Also votes S2000
edit: something to think about....NA MR2....the E-stock ones. i was VERY impressed by them in Atlanta and the way the tore-ass around the course. These are relatively cheap. You may be able to get one and keep the honda.

I vote '89 Si. If you get the itch for race tires, it is a decent CSP or SM car, even for the national stuff. Any of our national guys will tell you that both Jason Tipple and Shenefield are putting together really fast SM cars, and both of those cars are still D16's (though Shenefield's is stroked to like 1.75 now).

If you are leaning towards STS, why not a 88-89 CRX Si for STS2? Looks like that car is becoming the one to have for that class and if you ever get the itch to go to CSP, it's a lot better car than the Civic. Allen Kugler used to do VERY well with one in CSP.

I'm thinking that an Impala SS would be a perfect fit for you.
Lightweight, nimble, fuel effecient, and you can keep your Honda in the trunk.

2005 Dodge Magnum RT - bone stock

I drive a hybrid - it burns both gas and rubber.

I know this is off subject, but i here you are kicking but down in SC. I was overseas with one of your competiters( car with stars all over it). He says you are killing him. He wanted me to come down and race but now i think he is affaid i will bet him to. I going to try to get down and race later this year and see how good he is and see if you have gotten any better than you already was. Chad
