New lot idea... opinions?

Post by swingdancr »

I'm working with Wayne Henry and the Knoxville Zoo and Fairgrounds to use the new lot between the Zoo entrance and the Fairgrounds. It has been repaved within the last 2 years and has 2 telephone poles in it. Excellent shape and probably twice the size of the Comcast lot.

Anyone remember the old races on the South side of Magnolia?
8) :D
I remember being a teen and watching a little MG Fly down that dropping turn where the lane of pavement comes toward and then parallel w/ Magnolia. I watched from the street one day while stuck in traffic, and I was Dreaming of being able to do that someday...

:? Is that the lot that was discussed at the meeting? I know it's big enough but someone mentioned that it had several drains throughout. I'm all for it either way. I'm sure we would have enough room to work around obstacles.

In other words; HELL YEAH!!

ORM actuall has several drains in it as well. You just design the course around them and you will never know theyr'e there.

I've given Josh several dates that are available on our schedule to see if the Zoo is really serious about allowing us to use the lot. I'll let y'all know what happens.
