Hot fun at EHS

Post by Scuffcakes »

Great event Mark. Also lotsa props to Robert, Doug and Mark for a kick-ass course. For those of you that didn't wanna make the drive (you know who you are), you missed out on 7 runs on a really fun course. I talked with several of the novices that were there and I think we've hooked a few. Great job everybody!

It was probably good for those tires. Until today, all they knew was gettin' stomped by Rife.

I really enjoyed this course, I was one of the most fun layouts that we have had in 2 years, at least for me and my land barge. It was a treat to get 7 runs on this course. It was nice to be able to grab a cheap hot dog and soft drink right there at the event too. The Elizabethton folks are great, both the spectators and the competitors. It's a long drive, but I don't mind it once in a while to support those from far east TN that come support the Knox-area events.

Here is some video of a couple of my runs for anyway who wants to see what the course looked like (it was fun).

I scaled them way down to about 10 megs each.

Man, that course looks a lot slower in your car. :D
J/K - you were flyin' out there! Thanks for the videos.

Yup, good event. I had a lot more fun on that course than I thought I would. The center section that was sort of blind going in was a blast!

Big thanks to Robert, Mark, Terry, Ted for helping the gimp with unloading, tire changing, and loading the car. 8)

It was definitely hot, I think the pavement melted under the motorcycle dude's rear tire or something. Either that or he was just plain stoopid.

I'm with you Mark, that center section was a blast. I figured that's what you were talking about when you said, "You gotta hit your marks." It was fun, but you had to pick a perfect line to carry all your speed into the braking zone, just before the slalom. I missed it every time.

It was great to have Justin, Brandon, and Chris up from Greeneville for the first time. I hope you all had fun. Adesa is the 13th.

Yeah, it was hot, but everything went smooth, except for the guy on the bike.

right on Rt. 321 in front of the EHS autocross lot.
