Post by burnin2 »

I was looking at the times of the Anderson event and the times are not what were run. I?m wondering how they work.

If you are talking about the novice class the times are based on PAX. PAX or RTP is a number that is multiplied by your raw time. It normalizes the times and, in theory, takes the car out of the equation.

An M means that person is a SCCA member. It probably isn't completely accurate. I don't know if registration has been giving that field much attention, as it really doesn't matter with the results. A 'T' means it is a trophy position (once we get some new t-shirts to give away).

i tried to check off "member" when thought about it, but i'm sure that i missed several.

also, i noticed that the results have Derek Kunkewitz down as running his 02 WRX when he ran James Swanson's STS Subaru. that might have been my fault as i made a 2nd entry for him instead of reclassing, i think :?:

Nope, wasn't your fault. That is how Derek wanted it. Keep up the good work. Registration seemed much smoother yesterday!

Thanks for the link to the results.

Cool! 3rd place (Novice) in my 2nd event. Considering my 4200 lbs car on tires with a 400 treadwear index, I'm ectstatic.

If I don't watch it, I'm going to get "hooked" on this sport.

Congrats on the times. I like watching that beast move around the course.

A little late for me. I'm already hooked 8)

Tiger,

those times are not going to be entirely accurate, since we changed the course half way through the day....

Me too. I'm a goner. :D BTW - It's fun sliding the beaSSt around the course too.

About the WBHS times - it's a shame that the Saturday times "before" and "after" instruction are not posted. I t would be nice to document how much time everyone picked up.

The courses were different lengths. Theoretically, someone could run a faster time on the longer course than someone on the shorter course ran, but since they are all in the computer as the same event, only the fastest time will show, not depending on the course.
