I recently noticed a potential site off Western Avenue. The Valerium
is an new bar/nightclub, maybe this building was once a furniture
store? On the plus side the pavement is fresh and level and there
are few poles. It would be ideal for a test and tune, but maybe a
touch too small for a regular event. I saw room for a fast sweeper
there at least. There is plenty of room for parking in the adjacent lot.
Take the Western Avenue Exit off I-40, go straight across 17th St
When it veers left go straight and it is at the corner of Blackenstock
and Ramsey.

World's Fair Site being land associated with the WF Park? If so, I doubt it.swingdancr wrote:I believe that lot belongs to the World's Fair Site.
I have been in this lot and the pavement is fresh and might be a nice, small course to try. Unfortunetly I didn't take a real good notice as to the size of it at the time at the time; but it could work.
We would have to worry about the drunks on Saturday night at the Valarium leaving their car all night though.
