Upcoming Test & Tune

Post by Leadfoot »

I've never been to a Test & Tune. How does it work? How many test/tune cycles can I expect?

Saturday will be like a non-points autocross. I will probably make a short course with different elements like a slalom, skid pad, chicago box. Sunday will be a totally different course than Saturday and will be a points event.

Does anyone have any instruments to measure the resulting "G's" from the skidpad test?

Is there any way I could only work on Sat and run for points on Sun? Or do I have to run both days?

You don't have to run both days. The details for the cost of test and tunes is on the Solo II schedule days. Why do you want to just work on Sat? Not that I have a problem with someone willing to work and not run, just curious. :D

Tyler,

He means work Saturday and run Sun for free (like at the driver school). I will take you up on it if you decide to do it.

Yeah like the school? If not I still would only like to run at WB for one day for tire reasons. If I am going to do the two Subaru Challenges this year I will have to have some tires left. Since Shawn and I will be running on my tires instead of his.

I've got a backpack blower. Should I bring it?

We have done that at WB a couple of times before and it did help get the loose gravel out. It seemed to help with traction and build up on the tire but it still wore the tires.
