I'm planning on going if the weather holds. Looks good right now, 85 and sunny.

If repairs go as planned, I would like to attend. If the IC piping comes in this weekend, I will be doing that instead.

You got that right Mark! I dont mind splashin it up on the car, but I sure cant stand to run with my wipers on.

I missed the last TRSCCA event due to a 60% chance of rain at the track, and later to find out, they said that place is very, VERY slippery when its wet. That, coupled with the greatly higher speeds there, I passed on that too. Sucks.....ive only autox'd like 3 times since Comcast! :(

hmm, our site is not very very slippery when wet... well, no more then any other asphalt. There is one patch that has sealer on it, but we try to avoid it even when it is dry. The last event we got 8 dry runs and it only started to rain after the awards were passed out :)

Yeah I am intimately familiar with that sealer. I pulled a sweet 540 through it last season. I don't think it is the driving in the rain we mind, it's the course working that sucks!

hahaha, you should of been in Atlanta this weekend for the Div :). I've got it figured out now, only took me 3 seasons to drop the $180 on a Gore-tex Rain suit :D. Standing there still sucks, but at least I'm warm and dry !

I talked to G.Smalley about 10am that morning, and he told me he was not running, so that kinda solidified my stance on the situation. Im sure the place is no slicker than others, but with the higher speeds you guys have, its that much more probable i'd screw up(however, im not bitching about it being FAST!! NO NO! )

My biggest concern for slickness was the "transition" from lot to lot. Im usually carrying a good amount of speed in that area and there are people and poles in the vicinity as well. Glad you guys got a boat load of runs in on that last event though, just kinda hard for me to drive the 2hrs to take a chance on standing in the rain. :(
