Possible to bump?

Post by ke0ki2k »

Is it possible to run a car that SHOULD be in BSP in ASP if theres no one around in BSP? Just ordered some 710's and I know I probably cant catch the vettes but it would be fun to chase em

By SCCA rules, you aren't supposed to bump like that.

If you run Stock, you are supposed to go to your Stock class. If you run Street Prepared, you are supposed to go to your Street Prepared class. If you have a BSP car, you can, however, bump to SM2 or XP or EM.

With that said, regions are free to do what they want locally.

ahhh ok cool. explains why SM2 and XP have such wild looking 'street' cars. I'll probably run BSP whenever mr. Scott & other folks run BSP but if theres no one pre-reg'd for it i'll run ASP with Eric/Michael/Brad(if he runs ASP next year)

Sounds like fun.

One ride and you bought r-compounds. Don't take another one or you will be buying a vette

Nothing is street about XP. As far as appearance, the only real difference between SM(2) and BSP is the wings the SM folks like.

If I had a BSP car, I'd be trying to talk ASP, BSP, CSP, and SM all into "bumping" into SM2. Big classes are fun.

cough cough...anyone interested? lol at least after all the season championships were settled after race 7(?) we could congregate into SM2 to race eachother for it. if the ASP/BSP/CSP/SM2/AS/anyone else/you wanted to...

I'm going to try to make the rest of the races this year in BSP and I'm pretty sure Barry in the Porsche is too.
