get to run sunday, finally !

so got a miata at the beginning of the summer with the intentions of running it in autox's all summer. well between work and terrible luck i havnt been able to make an event :(.

so itll be my first autox sunday, running in sts2, any advice?

just pick out someone that looks fast and ask em to let you ride shotgun a couple times during their initial runs.

walk the course alot. And by alot I mean till you can close your eyes and drive it from memory. there is a "new to autocross" reading material with pointers around here someplace on the forum.

Best thing to do is let someone that's been around awhile drive your car while you ride shotgun...

thx for the replies and advice :). ive been around autox for awhile just never been old enough/had a car to run, its alrdy obession that will only grow haha. i've alrdy dropped money into shocks/springs/sways the wheels and some rt615 azenis. holding off on power mods because then i'd definately be broke, even in a miata haha

Resist the urge for power mods. Keep the car STS2 legal and you'll have plenty of fun with it.
