Cheap track time

Post by CMS-GT4 »

Anyone know any close places to get some cheap track time.
As soon as I get a few more parts installed and my suspension corrected, I want to get an hour or so on a real course..

Any ideas of where and how much I expect to spend?
Thanks,
JC

SCCA Solo1 events get you on track for pretty cheap. What you do need is a drivers suit, SA2000 helmet, driving boots and gloves. The car will have to have a solo1 legal rollbar and a fire extinguisher. You also need a Solo1 license, but it's no big deal. I think there are 8 or 9 SE Divisional Solo1 races, lasting two days, and none are over $200.00 The classes are different, but the rules say any car legal for Solo2 is legal for Solo1 added all the Solo1 safety rules are met. My C Stock Miata runs Showroom Stock B at Solo1 events.

Good Luck!

Also, to check about getting a Solo1 license, get in touch with Steve Thompkins in the Chattanooga Region.
