I really wanted to do this this year. Would anyone want to go down there with me?
This is an Atlanta event. You would need to register online.
edit: If anyone would want to split a hotel room and go down Saturday, that might work nicely.
edit: It would be about 3HR:45M - 4HR:15M drive...not too bad

I'd love to go sometime, but I can't make it this weekend.... plus, uh, it looks like it might rain Sunday

weather.com says 30% chance of precip on Sunday in Munford, AL. I guess this time of year you never really know when a shower will pop up....plus, that's why I'll take the WRX.

Well it is a 3.5-4 hr drive. I have a way to avoid Anniston which has a godzillion traffic lights. We are staying a the Best Western in Oxford at the intersection of 21 & 78 near the interstate.
Considering a stop for supper and the fact that I would like to change my tires at the hotel, how about somewhere around 3:30?
Doug, you coming?

Sounds like a plan. Do you have a GMRS or FRS radio?
Where are you staying?
Anyone else? This event is a hoot. And there is speed. Tony?
BTW, this event is not recommended for novices, in fact they are not allowed.

I wish I could go. I had fun last year. If anyone is going that hasn't been there, be sure your brakes work well.

I'll borrow a radio from Tyler.

Scott,
I found the Oxford Travelodge, which is about 12 mi away for $40 per night. I haven't booked it yet, though. Looks like your Best Western is $55 per night. Maybe you should change. I went through mapequest to get directions and then clicked on the Expedia link to find that rate.
Lemme know what you decide.
Thanks

Chris,
I have a room at the Best Western if you would like to split it.
Scott, where should I meet you?
I just found out yesterday that I didn't have to work this weekend, company golf tournaments serve some purpose after all!
