Did they get sound straightened out during the first run group? I know they seemed to be having troubles with it reading higher than it should have.

It was reading mid-nineties on my first runs, bu they said it was from the tires. What do we do if we go over the sound from tire noise? Not like replacing exhaust. I can't put a muffler on the tires, lol.

I don't think they pay much attention to the reading if it is from tires. But I'm not really sure?

I have the sound notes from all run groups. I will sort them out and post who all might want to add mufflers after a while (a while is an undetermined amount of time- posting while eating lunch now  ) everything is hand written on the sheets, not as easy as pulling a file off a computer.

There was a bit too much happening at the first meter location, the move to the turn down the hill made for more consistant readings. We try not to record tire squeal, it is more a call on exhaust note. usually squealing tires are pushed beyond their limit. Slow down the tire abuse=less noise and it might end up with faster time. Some tires like the abuse tho.

anyone else want to know your sound level, post up and I will get em all later.
Rife, you had all checkmarks = less than 90, with one 92 listed

Please don't. I'm sorry Gebbia... but that was the most obnoxious car out there. It almost made my ears bleed.

Please post all of mine. I think our sound meter is off by more than what we think. The car never went over 94 at
National events and we had a couple of readings over 100 yesterday. Which I know is not correct.

No offense taken about the sound of my car Michael. I don't care what it sounds like as long as it isn't going over the limit....which it never has until yesterday. Plus that loud little MIater is FAST.
