Baseball bat and a heat gun...

If you don't want to DIY, European Auto Garage did mine way back when. Not sure if they still do it, but never hurts to call and ask. Fair warning, either method could chip your paint. It happened on both my front fenders.

Thanks, have thought about DIY but have heard too many bad stories. Was thinking it might be best left to someone else. Might ask them if I need it. Will be heading to cars n coffee for the first time on Mar 2 there. Just found out you're not around Knoxville anymore. Will miss the competition!

 Steve's Transmission in Morristown, TN (423)586-3522

Called this guy Steve, just to see if he would sell me a little marking compound. He said he had just run out and would have more on Monday morning. Went down there this morning and we started talking about my LSD install. Told him I had never done one and was KINDA nervous about it. I told him it was in the back of my car and he said, "go get it." He put it on this cool stand and checked everything for me right then. Pinion bearing preload good! Backlash good! Smear good!

Everybody in there was working on something. This was the owner that rolled up his sleeves and got dirty and he wouldn't take a dime for it. :D $0.00

I did run into all kinds of issues getting this done and if I were to do it over again, I would buy a used third member and build it, then just do a simple swap. My car has been on a lift for 11 days. :?

Just some recent feedback on TireBarn. I just had them put my new tires on my autox rims. They advertised a "touchless" mounting. But I think that they equate "touchless" to 3 guys honking on three different tire irons as "touchless" .
Anyway they damaged the external side of one of my rims and when I asked them the answer was "touchless was not really touchless"
The Service Manager did the other three and shockingly there was no other damage that I noticed.
Good thing it wasn't my chrome street tires. I would have been a lot more unhappy.
So if you have good rims that you want tires mounted on I would not recommend them.
YMMV,
Paul

Sounds like a few guys may need some training on using a tire machine. There is a wrong and right way to use a tire iron with a machine.

I see the pro dent repair on the 1st page, but I'm unfortunately going to need more than that. Good body shop recommendation needed in the Maryville/Knoxville area. Met a couple of mailboxes today. Hoping to find a good shop that you'd trust to not cut corners and finish in a reasonable amount of time.

Had good luck with Mercedes of Knoxville. Stay far, far away from Malibu.

+1

They did the windows on the NSX a couple of years ago. Easy to work with, cost was reasonable, done in an afternoon. I'm not a tint-material connoissuer, but the stuff they put on has definitely made a difference in my internior temperatures during the summer even though it's not the darkest (by request).
