I just picked up a set of longacre scales. Included was ramp, rolloff pad levelers, bump steer gauge, toe gauge, tire scribe, and caster turn plates. I am thinking about renting them out to get some extra money for racing. Is this a good ideal or should I just charge to do the work?
What would you guys pay to rent them for a weekend? What should I charge for a deposit? If I do it myself what is a good price to charge?
SCCA members would get a discount after we figure out a good price. I also have some circle track guy interested too. I just don't know what is a fair price or what I can charge for the service.
Thanks for the advice. Chad

Re: Scale renting
A lot of shops charge from 400-700 to do a full corner balance, but that includes doing all the setup. That's why I bought scales!

Like some rental cars, I'm sure...TedV wrote:how do people treat the rental tools from Autozone?
I've rented stuff from AZ/AAP with no issues, but it was no-calibration-needed tools.
