Carpenter wins GS Nationals

Post by scottgib »

If I read the results correctly, Robert took 1st place at Nationals. He was second on the first day, but really went strong on the second.

Brown was leading DP after one day. His results for today have not been published.

:D :o :o :D :D :D

Did Lindberg get protested? The results say Lindberg in the Miata won over John by 0.9 seconds total for the two days.

Official now, Robert first in GS and John second in DP.

Robert was a winner by a whopping 1.4 seconds and he was trailing the first day!! That should make the rest of us slow GS'er feel better about the gaps between us and Robert. The new daddy is still fast. Congratulations!

I read that the course was wet some today. I wonder if it was wet for the GS runs. Was Robert better prepared for wet?

I didn't protest Linberg,I protested timing and scoring because Chris downed a cone on his last run which beat me but it was not counted on him.I had to protest to buy time for them to talk to the 4 corner workers, but they "say" they couldnt find 2 of them......

oh well.

That sucks right there.

You'd think that corner workers would not be screwing around at a national level event.

witnesses say he did not hold the cone up or his hand nor did he give a safe call.
and I'm sure this happens a lot.I heard of it two times on Tue. runs, but they interviewed the workers and changed the call.
