Can anyone recommend a place to get fitted for a wedding tuxedo...? Good/bad experiences...?

And preferably not a chain like Men's Warehouse.

The only places that I know of that aren't chains (I think) are Coachman Clothiers and John H. Daniel.

Are you buying or renting? I can highly recommend Jos A. Banks if you are buying. Otherwise, I'm using Men's Warehouse for the wedding and have no complaints (so far - ask me again next week.)

Alright, thanks. I should say, it can be a chain, but someone experienced needs to take the measurements (specified by my friend ). I was specifically told to avoid Men's Warehouse.

Renting. Rather, I just need the measurements as the parents of the groom are paying for tux rental. Once I get the measurements, I'll send them to my friend so he can send them to the tailor they're using.

I read an iffy review about them through Google. Not completely ruling them out, but they're more towards the bottom of the list.

All the tuxes for my wedding (2009) were rented from Men's Wearhouse and I thought they were very professional. I've recently purchased several shirts, ties, and a pair of pants from them and I still hold the same opinion. This was the store near West Town Mall (not in the mall).

The used to be Director of Formal Wear at Goody's is now running Walker's. I have not been there, but from working with him for years, he knows his stuff. his name is Bryant.

Thanks for the opinions, guys. I'll pick a place tomorrow and probably get fitted next week.
