I enjoyed the day. Thanks to everyone involved!
I got crushed in the challenge but I was proud to have made it in at all.

:lol2:

Had fun today, even though I couldn't get my game face on. So I did some trash talking, instead.

Even though I didn't make it into the challenge, I'm glad we did it. Something different, and it was entertaining to watch. :D

I'll have some vids up shortly.

Nice job putting the event together on the fly. I know the last minute course changes probably messed with things.

The challenge was fun. I still think dial-ins are the best way to go but it is more complicated. I probably wouldn't have made it past the first round if we were running dial-ins, though, with my big slide at the bottom of the hill. The dial-in format rewards consistency.

I had fun, Thanks John.

I would have enjoyed the challenge more if I didn't take the "spin it or win it" mentality

Gary, hope the black lung clears out and breathing is back to normal quickly. I thought I had more space on ya when I laid down the cloud.

My fastest run of the day, which happened to be in the challenge:

Comments welcome... but I'll say that I shouldn't have brought 6 year old OEM tires to a gun fight. All that sawing on the wheel is me trying dial the push out.

Trying to go fast on street tires feels inherently wrong, doesn't it?

I still have an inner struggle when the car is seemingly doing what I want, but I'm hearing those horrible noises... I think Kristo and Aaron have that advantage over me.

That was a blast. Anyone who punted on account of weather, or some other reason.... really missed out. I needed another 500rpm in 1st gear and I probably would have gained a couple of seconds on the top of the course (yes, that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it).

Even though I was out of the challenge early on account of Darby's 48."5" hero run, watching that type of head-to-head running is pretty cool.

First time I've been able to run with ETR this year and I enjoyed the course and had fun. I was wondering how close I was to the top 15 in Pax, but being in SS with street tires isn't going to cut it for Pax times.

I like the challenge idea... I say use it again. Also, I was back home in Crossville by 4pm central... pretty cool 8)
