Rode the VA creeper trail uphill Sat. On the way back we stopped at The Tavern. What a great German pub, and they have some really good authentic German been on tap.

Anyone ever been?

Only stayed for 2 beers, but they have 3 types of Spaten, a GENUINE Hefe Weizen, and a couple others. I want to go back and have dinner. Have you done the Creeper Trail?

17 miles from Whitetop Mtn to Damascus or you can ride 34 miles to Danville. Most ride downhill. We rode from Damascus to Whitetop. Good workout for sure. We took a shuttle back down to Damascus, but next time we might ride back down.

Really? I love the dark, old world style. It makes me think about how it might have been in old times to get off a horse and go into a Bavarian brothel and have a heavy Doppelbock or two and a big breasted German hottie!

Yeah, you should've ridden back down. That's the payoff for all of the work you did getting to the top. I'd probably have gotten sick in the van anyway. It is a pretty cool ride though.

Both

coffee in the morning, beer after noon, thru the evening and into the night. Both dark and full bodied.
