TGPR 3/17/12

first post:
I would like to put on another low-cost TGPR track day, and 3/17/12 looks like a good date.

This event will be limited to twenty (20) cars, running in 4 run groups of 5 cars/15 minutes per hour. The cost this year will be $120.00.

TGPR is a fun little track in a casual, laid-back setting, and these track days are a ton of fun with more than enough seat-time to satisfy the hardest hardcore gearhead.

General information about the track can be found here: www.tgprace.com

Please let me know if interested asap. I will need to secure the track with a $1000.00 non-refundable deposit, and need to collect the $$ soon, so as to not lose the date.

Your spot will be secured by payment, and once you pay and we reach the 10 car mark and I forward the deposit to the track, the payment will become non-refundable and the cost of the track day will be $120.00 only if we reach the magic number of 20, otherwise we will have to divide total cost by number of cars. We have never NOT reached 20 cars for these track days, and I do not expect it to be a problem this year. If we somehow can't muster up 10 participants, you will get your money back.

I can be reached by pm on this site, or at lgx2@tvn.net for payment details. I prefer payment by check or money order, but I can accept some paypal payments. The event will be on a first come, first get the spots basis - and by that, I mean receipt of payment to secure your spot.

I hope to see some old friends head back down to AL for some TGPR fun, and some new friends, too.

For anyone who's thought, "that could be fun", this really is dipping a toe in the shallow end as far as tracks go. There is ample "oops" room around then entire track. You might hit corn if you have a really bad off, but that's about it. You get to run a ton of laps and have time to figure the track out. 15 min sessions are also not very hard on a car relatively speaking.

It's an easy drive down and you're going to see over an hour of track time, probably before lunch, maybe 90 minutes or two hours if you close the place down. So if you milk it, you're getting 1 minute of track time per dollar.

Very good point. That sure beats some other forms of racing, and it's for longer periods of time and at faster speeds too! :D

If my roll bar comes in time, I may cancel the wedding! :)

Ted, just realized that I never responded to your question... Short answer, no due to insurance requirements. :(

Len officially has 20 paid drivers and 3 alternates, so consider it full unless something drastically changes.
