2012 ETR Autocross School

ETR Autocross School

Site Opens at 7-AM, Have everything ready to start at 9AM Sharp
Walter State CC in Morristown, TN

Are you a novice looking to learn the ins and outs of becoming a better autocrosser? A seasoned autocrosser looking to hone in your skills? Well, here is your chance to get personal driving instruction from some of the best in the East Tennessee Region. The course setup and instruction will be setup to improve both your driving ability, finding the limits of your vehicle, and most importantly, the mental training it takes to be a good autocrosser.

Entry is limited to 25 Participants
The student cost is $85 for the day and include lunch.
Signups will open to East Tennessee Region members on Sunday, April 15.

Is there any way that I can go to this. Pretty hard for someone to ride along but I be need some schooling. Chad

You can participate. It's recommended for the school to use something other than the mod car. The most important things you will learn will translate well to whatever you are driving. Markp could probably chime in on how they handle this at ecvo schools

Just like Gary said, the Evo schools recommend running something with two seats. That way, the instructor can see what you are doing from inside the car and pick up on things you might be doing wrong. Additionally, the instructors will work with you to show you the correct line. These things are much harder, if not nearly impossible to teach if you aren't sitting side by side in the car.

That said, if you run it, you will have some quality drivers there that will do their best to help you.

Is there an estimated finish time? I have to be at work at 3pm. I live/work very close to WSCC.

I need seat time I the thing more that instuction. It could help too. plus whoever coaches me will get to drive tit some. Anyone want to step up first. John coached me at the last one several years ago. Chad

Now THAT's how you get first choice of instructor....although I'm sure driving the car could be interesting as well. :lol2:

i am certainly interested, not sure if I can fit it into my tight schedule though
