SouthEast National Challenge - Tech & Class Inspection Info

Technical Inspection:
~Tech inspection will be accomplished at a designated location on the site.
There will not be a roaming tech official.
~Tech will open on FRI by 12PM and will be open till 7PM.
Tech will re-open on SAT from 7:30am and will close promptly at 8:15am.
This time is set aside for late arrivals…if you are here on FRI, please get “teched” on FRI.
~For the National Challenge event, tech will consist of the usual vehicle and helmet inspection with the addition of checking the SCCA decal requirements, possession of a completed Class Disclosure Form and signing-off on MFG’s contingency claim forms. Tech only confirms the possession of the Class Disclosure form, not accuracy or completeness of the information provided.
~Competitors shall drive up to the Tech Inspection location with their vehicle in race-ready condition.
Open hood and trunk and present helmet and Class Disclosure Form to the Tech official.
If participating in one of the MFG’s Contingency programs present the appropriate Claim Form at this time for verification of placement of MFG decals. Tech Official will sign-off that the MFG’s decal requirement was met.
Class Inspection;
~Class Inspection begins promptly at 8:15AM on SAT and will be accomplished at a designated location on the site.
~Competitors are encouraged to line up for the Class Inspection as soon as possible on SAT morning.
~Each class will have a clearly marked row for inspection.
Vehicles shall line up single file with their respective class in a nose-to-tail manner leaving approximately 6-8 ft from the vehicle in front of you. Open the hood and trunk.
~ The Class Disclosure Form shall be displayed on the windshield, or for inclement weather, visibly displayed on the dash.
*Class Inspection is a very important part of national-level competition.
A complete and accurate Class Disclosure Form is a crucial part of this class inspection.
Be prepared to answer a question, remove a wheel, etc….if a classing concern arises.
Do not walk away from the inspection area, or move your vehicle until released by an event official.
**The Class Inspection is a great photo opportunity…so bring your camera.
