I have a couple questions....Is this a charity event? I'm assuming so but the only reason I ask is because we usually register different for those events. If it is, will ride alongs be $10? I would love to be able to get a work assignment that would allow me to be available for ride alongs in other heats. I'm going to try to get a bunch of friends and family to come, although it is hard to convince them of how fun it is to race around cones in a parking lot. I could help with setup Friday and takedown Saturday or maybe help with tech since Walter will not be there.

Shall I assume karts aren't welcome for some reason?

As I remember, there are guy wires for some of the poles in or near the lot. I believe that's the reason why karts are banned by track management.

Just a reminder on course set up. I know a lot of members are starting to ask to do this, and the willingness to help is much appreaciated.. however.. course set up is really a "ONE MAN SHOW" with the possibility of 2 helpers. one to throw out cones.. another "heavy experienced" to actually help with sitting up of the cones. Cones placed just 1 foot out of position can drastically affect the fun factor of any given element.. And normally course by "Committee" isn't a good thing either..
Now.. with that said.. I think we decided to make cone marking an actual worker position.. (its not easy) but your assignment is over before we start.. lol

That makes Van driver, course designer and possibly helper and cone marker, as needed for set up of course. (4) positions

Now.. equipment is another thing..and NOT my bag... they may need some early morning help. maybe they can chime in on that???

Im ready to run this event!!

It's only about 20 min from the house so I may bring the FR-S out to play in STX.
