I'll reserve final judgment until I walk them, but East looks crazy fast and the West does not. That West finish should be interesting.

I fixed my post... dam you southern folk... can't read between the lines? Lol

I printed the courses out... have to check it out later. But I agree.. walking the courses vs looking them without a sense of true scale is tough. I'll wait to comment more after Monday... next Monday, that is.

Those courses both look pretty fast to me. Rife and I will be driving precisely 56.6 MPH for most of it. :(

There's a 3rd gear in that transmission, right?

At Wilmington, we were in the limiter for about half the course, but it was just in between 2nd and 3rd for us. We were turning the car on the limiter in 2nd. We would have benefited from a few more mph's in 2nd, but there wasn't anywhere to get in the powerband and really take advantage of 3rd.

Assuming cost were no object (hah), could you put larger diameter wheels on the car? With the same section width and profile, the large wheel would give you a little higher speed at the same rpm. Brian Burdette went the opposite way in his Mustang at Blytheville. He had a 3.73 rear axle ratio and 18 inch wheels compared to the usual 3.31 and 19 inch wheels. That put him in third gear before the end of the slalom. You do not want to hit the rev limiter in a Mustang.

Even if tire options and fitment weren't an issue, I'm not sure you'd want a taller tire on a car with such a peaky powerband.

If the course doesn't work in your favor, you just try to hit your marks and be in the throttle as much as possible and see how it plays out. If the courses drive a little slower than they look, they might serve the car really well.

It looks like I will like Vtak course very well if it drives as good as it looks on paper.

Yeah I have thought about it. Like you said though that's a pricey experiment.

If the Z06 stays in AS, I'm pretty sure I'd just be throwing bricks in the grand canyon anyway.

Trailer fiasco is maybe resolved. Had to end up renting a u-haul one.
I'll know for sure in a few hours how that will work.
