Chattanooga Region has a new home!

Post by rocket71 »

I am proud to announce the new home for the Chattanooga Region @ the Cleveland Regional Jetport. It is located in Cleveland, TN approximately five miles off of I-75N exit 27. It offers newly poured, flat, grippy, concrete to place courses upon. It measures 1000’ by 320’.

Our first event will be on August 10th, registration will open soon via motorsportreg.com. More details soon!

Here is a link….if it doesn’t work for you then go to google maps and search “Cleveland Regional Jetport”.

Yeah, I'm liking the sound of that.... allot.

Everyone needs some good concrete within an hour or so to play on.

Wilmington over the next two weekends, then Cleveland?! You may need to limit registration numbers...

Any limitations on karts running there? KM and juniors?

Good work. Can't wait to see it.

John, from what I've heard, it sounds like paddock is an issue because there isn't a lot of parking. So as of now there will be cars on the concrete.

It might be worth exploring an off-site paddock with a shuttle to that spot. There are a lot of factory/warehouses around. Might be worth a shot.

John if you want to call me tonight we can discuss details. Basically, we cant run within 50' of the buildings but we can park there. There is also one other area that we have to leave open but not a big issue. Airport management says we can fit everyone inside but he hasn't had time to elaborate. Maybe a taxi way? I know our initial plan is to use the parking lot in front of the terminal for trucks and trailers. Cars unloaded there and then lined up inside the site along the hangers. I am attaching a map. Please note we will likely be able to use the area right in front of the large hanger that I have marked of limits. Also, we must not run within 100' of the fuel tanks.

Those taxi ways are 50 feet wide down where the small hangars are. If those are open, then there ya go. That's enough room to paddock on either side.
