Re: Season pionts

I'm curious to see the standings after this past weekend - I want to know if I have to win all 3 of the final events to beat e'erybody and finally win a pro class championship.

Berry might be able to make it up for the november event, but I dont think he can make either October event, so my squishy-PAX car isn't gonna be around to help :( with 335's on the back of that car, I really don't think it can be beat on PAX. got-dayum spaceship.

I wonder is there a way to make "Live Timing" show all the classes, not just the last run group? It has before....

If I recall correctly, that has something to do with how you select to have the run groups sorted when you're doing timing.

As in - if you're looking at "all" entries in the far left column of axware, vs. just looking at "run group 2", etc.

But I think that has to happen while you're actually online doing live timing.

Mike is correct. If we select the active heat, then Live timing displays that heat only. I don't know if there is a workaround.

We usually do this, because if not, the list of registered cars on the left side is very long and it takes longer to find the car you need to stage.

When the event has ended but prior to shutting down the event in the computer, live timing can be set to show all heats. That way you can see all the times there until the official posting is done (except for this event where the first two heat's results seem to be in another file??).

Scott, yes, that is also true, and easy to do.

But if things go well and we finish on time, I go ahead and upload the results to the website right after the event. If they don't go well, or it's already past beer:30, then I usually upload them the next day.

With this event, it's in two separate files, but somehow all of the registration data, class definition files, etc, were lost. I looked at it at lunch.

To correct it, I've recovered a backup of registration data on the set of results that have heat 1 and 2 in them. I'll have to manually enter the results from heat 3 into that file because I have no way to restore the registration data more than once.

I would expect I should have the results up by Friday at the latest.

There is a new version of axware that came out in mid-August. Let's hope it fixes more things than it breaks.

that would replace our crates and wires, but not software.

Whatever we do, we need to plan on implementation after this season is over.

My current plan is this:
1 - send Vtak the log files and event files to see if he can pinpoint the crash.
2 - Uninstall axware from all machines, reinstall, and patch to the latest update
3 - start a fresh membership file and class definitions files (these can sometimes get corrupted and cause problems and if they have data conflits, it's logical that it could cause a crash during registration)
4 - Start a fresh event (we usually save the previous event as the new event, unregister everyone, and remove times. This streamline the process of manually adding people that didn't register online or forget to do so. By that I mean, if you register for event #1, your registration is still there for event #2)

Also before we switch, I'd really like to do a demo and overview of AxWare for everyone, so that more people have at least a very basic idea of how everything fits together.

This wasn't all that bad compared to CMP on Memorial Day weekend. At least we have the data. They lost a whole run group because a car didn't cross the finish line early in the session. Finish wasn't visible from control and whoever did see it didn't report it. Their timing system had an option to record time stamps for finish trips, but it wasn't implemented so the whole run group had to be scrubbed and it was declared a non-points event.
