I can vouch for the Porsche event, I've attend two years running. great lot, great people- some of us take our wives and spend the day suffering for it after an over priced steak as we go shopping. I don't love the no rider policy, especially taking our wives, but we all have rules. -sean

Since I can't make the November 16th ETR make-up event I only have one more event left for this season left. The PCA event at Splash Country on the 9th or CRSCCA points Cleveland Jetport. I'm guessing never doing a PCA event it's just a fun event with no class completion? The Jetport I can try to beat Clancy and his son to finish out the year. My new tires did NOT like the cool weather yesterday at all. When I ran them at Corvette Museum it was almost 40 degrees warmer and they had lots of grip. I had very little yesterday fighting to go fast and keep it on course. Looking at the long range forecast for next Sunday looks like 49 degrees again. Splash country is only 16 miles from my house. While 75 mile ride to Jetport. Some have said PCA course designs are different? In what way? I just can't decide which one to go too. How many of you are going to PCA's event at Splash Country?

Paul, you should try a PCA event. The jetport is nice, but that Splash lot site is purdy dang big.

The best way I can explain the course difference is that you are likely to have elements that are much more open than our typical course, but at the same time, there are likely to be elements that are much tighter too.

Hopefully they've ditched the "stop box" - and element that requires you to stop in a certain box of cones after crossing the finish. Many times, you'll have to get on the brakes well before tripping the lights to be able to stop in time.

Spacing on offsets and slaloms is usually a little different too.

As far as classes, pick the most expensive P car there and try to raw time it. Or if other SCCA guys are there, you can always run a pax comparison on your own. If it acts like it will try to warm up, I might race this Sunday.

I may go as well if it isn't going to rain.

VIC wrote:The PCA course will be designed a little differently from the past layouts at Splash Country. It will be run counter clockwise. It will be quick, with no first gear sections (other than the start :) ). The course will flow well, and you should be expected to bring HP with you! Anticipated time on course is between 55-60 seconds.
Vic convinced me! i'm taking Lacy, Lisa, Bob and Marion :-)

I'm going as well but based on the weather right now 46 degrees and 70% chance of showers that will be enough to leave me out of this one. We all know how the weather changes here so it may improve.

Weather is looking better with mid 50's for high and down to 20% rain chance early, looks like I may be going after all.

If I race Sunday, I'll probably go support or brothers down in chat town. It's a little closer for me, and they support our events and run as much as they can.

Yeah...weather looking better sent Janis off email going to attend. I also asked with Dollywood Christmas opening this weekend where do we enter Splash Country lot? Since the park doesn't open until 2PM on Sunday main entrance should work.

Saw you were thinking of supporting Chatt peeps going to Jetport so I was thinking of changing my mind???? Dollywood and Splash Country so much closer. Jetport much closer for you. I still can't make up my mind. If I don't show up at Jetport Clancy will have no one to run against.
