End of season is soon, any plans for next season?

Post by 90civichb »

I'll start with a few of mine.

My car currently has a crank wobble that gives twerking a run for its money. So I picked up a new 1.6 and plan on throwing that in along with some electrical fixes that need to be dealt with from previous owner.

Oil cooler/filter relocation.

I'll also be installing either a brake proportioning valve or running some sort of aggressive rear pad/larger rear rotor combo to help with brake bias.

Cut and mount a front splitter and possibly canards.

Try and get my data logging stuff in some sort of efficient, workable order. So far it's been somewhat difficult to calibrate and retrieve the data. Still working out some bugs.

Lets hear some of your plans for the end of season.

Better start prepping the CRX then, because we all know how this turns out.

I should be in a position to run a lot of national events. I'm going to do an EVO school or two as well.

The car should be about as well prepped as it can get for CS. The only thing I have left to buy are front fascia bits, 17x8 wheels, new tires, and a replacement sun visor.

....and lots of oil.

What wheels are you leaning towards? Anything you can find in your offset/size or are you going to buy some RPF1s and call it a day?

Street tires, going to give CAM a shot next season. Don't plan on doing anything over the winter except an oil change.

Rebuild diff with new clutches....hopefully
Replace 50k+ mile Bilsteins with good ol' Koni yellows
Redo hot-air intake with a spiffy new gold foil lined heat shield and a filter that isn't from the parts store

Less autox, more track days? One can dream.
