STM Treadwear - 140+ for 2015

Due to member feedback, the ETRSCCA Board of Directors believes that it is appropriate to allow tires with a minimum tread wear rating of 140 for STM class during 2015 events.

It is VERY likely that the 2016 minimum will be 200, as we expect tires with a minimum 140 tread wear rating to be limited in availability.

When purchasing tires for the 2015 season, we do encourage STM drivers to consider any events that they wish to attend that are outside East Tennessee Region, as it is liekly that the minimum tread wear rating enforced by other regions will be 200. Additionally, any Southeast Divisional events may require 200TW tires, although this is yet unconfirmed.

Great news! Thanks for making a thread about it. Did you get a lot of feedback about it by chance? I know I submitted an email, but I felt like many others probably didn't care very much.

We received about 4. But, it's pretty clear that was the direction most wanted to go.

LOL … of the 4, how many were someone wanting to sell some 140's (me) and how many actually wanting to run 140's ? LOL
