Reading the comments on Nicole and Jeff Wong's FB, people are geared up... and it is the same people that started the 140TW R1R witchhunt, even though the tire completely met the subjective rules and spirit of the class.

I've said all along that there's institutional level hate for the tire … I may be wrong, but I see the whole thing coming from the whining that came from the STR folk that couldn't run the tire … no matter what SCCA claims about getting in line with the other racing series out there (like they give a rats hinney about LeChump)

all the other racing series did is give them the excuse they needed to be able to respond to the letters complaining about not being able to run a narrow 195 tire as opposed to their 255's (isn't that the STR size ?)
