We always think we can save it on the first out of shape move then it becomes a tank slapper and with more room it is easier to keep JB from all the pucker factor he got on that one. Good job with the quick fix on the timing issue guys....
I swear.. I saw years of work flash before my eyes on that run... Im glad she made it thru. It would have prolly been bad for car and driver.

I was working the crossover and started to quickly get out of there when the miata started to get some death wobble. The guy in the Subaru wagon also caused somewhat a calamity for me, he got incredibly lost up top.

that's all changed , hopefully. Toyo has a tire coming. and if anything, the STS number will drop by a small percentage. No STS cars did well at any Nat or Pro or Match.. except 1 or 2

Thanks for the nod on my pax time,I have been trying to get that better as I go along. I think I have been close to the top end or top 10 at some of our larger events this year. Not bad for a used part car. As far as tires I'll wait and see.

I was talking with "my guy" at TR a couple of days ago … and they still don't have part #'s for the Toyo … but he did confirm what had been floating around …

that Toyo re-did the test on the R1R and it actually tested way over 200 … he still isn't sure if the "new" R1R will be just rebadged or a bit of a tread/compound re-do…

and did mention the possibility (that I've been worried about) of it being put on the exclusion list as soon as it appears

If it turns out to be an overdog and they don't have a wide variety of sizes (and if the don't change that tread pattern) I'd be in favor of excluding that sucker.

The new Hoosier A-7 was tested and it was rated at 300 treadwear and will be allowed in all classes........

Well, it took 6 years and everyone but Toyo pulling contingency for the first tire to become an overdog.

according to my guy at TR, it's a near 300 TW tire …why should it be excluded ?

Yup, a tire company supports the racers, makes a tire to be competitive like the racer wants, then everyone has to get pissy and kick em in the balls.
