If the car is stock...
Well, yes, but the whole point of CAM is that there are a lot of pony and muscle cars out there that aren't stock but are still running on street tires. At the very least, they've been lowered and have wider wheels and tires. Otherwise, places like americanmuscle.com would not be in business. And you left out ST. My car would run in STU with a PAX of 0.844. Previously it was in STX, which has a more reasonable PAX of 0.831, but a tire section width limit of 265mm. That's too narrow for a 400 plus horsepower car. There's no limit on wheels and tires in CAM other than 200TW. You might even be able to flare the fenders.

0.810 for FS? damn....

If the IRS mustang is legal for STU, it might give the c5z and 350z a pretty good run. CAM-C has a pretty good pax, Coatney I think you could do some damage in pro in whatever car you pick. Let's not forget, this sport is 90% driver anyways.

A lot of the good guys \ RTTH stuff I've seen (which is the same formula CAM runs) has a lot of heavily modded cars in it usually (usually SM or CP class equivalent). Locally, who knows. My car is just lowered and I'm rusty as hell, so I hope you all take it easy on me.

That also makes me not want to run it if they are changing the numbers already and the season hasn't started. I'm still pretty bitter about r comps going away for stock class right after I bought "the car to have". I'm not sure what I will be in this season.
Still was the car for Bstreet and likely STU.

I never really liked that car too much. It felt really slow coming out of turns due to the gearing. The seats were terrible too. It may have done well in STU but the AWD cars will probably stomp it. I would do SSR in a C5 Z if I had the time. I'm still leaning towards CAM-C at the moment.

3rd gen Camaros and Firebirds are pretty cheap on Craigslist and I have seen some pretty nice examples of 6-cyl cars just begging for a transplant.

What about a Chevette with a Buick 3.8 turbo Grand National motor? Line the floor board with lead to make weight?

Wheelbase is too short on a Chevette.

AWD cars are limited to 245 tires and RWD cars can run 285s. That's one of the main reasons why the 350z's have been beating up on them in STU. So I can imagine a car at the same weight, but with ~100 more hp and tq would do even better.

Monza or a Vega would work in CAM - S. Probably need a lot of work to catch a Corvette.

EDIT: So would the Chevette. 97" wheelbase for all three. I'd love to see a tube frame Chevette, pushing 500-600 horsepower, with street tires.

I wanted to do a Monza until I realized it would have to go against a Corvette. For the money to make it run with a Corvette, I would buy a Corvette and save money.

Here you go:

Now you just need a rusty Monza and a sawzall.

just gonna copy and paste some Chitvette info I saw posted elsewhere
Got a set of sweet flares for this, and a copy of the Vauxhall Chevette build manual, which shows you how to 4 link. s-10 disc rear. Fiero vented fronts or wilwood kit. Drop in Solstice driveline. Bilstein off the shelf rally valvedbsuspension still available. Ultimate sleeper.
It must be done for the simple reason to see Chevette banned from CAM
